Community Guidelines
EpikChat is a platform that allows you to connect and share ideas in an open environment. The nature of content discussed in groups or live streams might be funny, serious, offensive, or anywhere in between. While EpikChat generally provides a lot of leeway in what content is acceptable, we have developed the following community guidelines to better define content and behaviors that are not.
Note - We do not actively monitor user-created groups; however, we expect group owners, admins, and mods to uphold their groups to these guidelines, and we may intervene if community guidelines are not upheld.
Prohibited Streaming Content
- Pornography or sexual acts. This includes intercourse, masturbation, and sexual nudity in any EpikChat created room or user group which is not marked as adult content. Nudity that is intentionally artistic or educational may be acceptable. We also have zero tolerance for any form of child sexual exploitation.
- Promotes or depicts violence or graphic imagery. You may not threaten violence against an individual or a group of people. We also prohibit the glorification of violence.
- Intending to impersonate a person or brand with the intent to mislead, confuse, or deceive others. Parody, commentary, or fan accounts should be labeled as such.
- Encourages, promotes, or depicts self-harm or suicide.
Prohibited Group Behaviors
- Abuse/harassment You may not engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so.
- Hateful conduct You may not promote violence against, or threaten other people.
- Sensitive media, including personal information and adult content You may not post media or content that is intended to target, bully, harass, or defame another person, or infringes on intellectual property rights.
- Discloses or threatens to expose someone's private information without their consent. This includes releasing another person's private or confidential contact info, or their videos or images that are considered and treated as private under applicable laws.
- Endangers minors This includes directing inappropriate comments to minors in a broadcast or requesting personal or social media contact information from minors in the chat.
- Spamming or advertising Spamming repeated messages or advertising products, services, websites, or outside platforms.
- Sexual solicitation Attempting to solicit sexual favors, nudity, or other illicit behaviors from users on our platform in exchange for any kind of pay or compensation is not allowed.
- Attempting to evade a suspension Attempts to circumvent suspensions or bans by creating additional accounts or identities will result in the permanent disabling of said accounts. If you would like to appeal a ban or suspension, contact us.
